Rafting with glacier family treks
Trishuli Rafting

A traveler’s paradise, Nepal offers a plethora of exquisite travel options that range from walks to soothe their senses to spine-chilling adventures. As such, Nepal is home to many swift flowing rivers that offer great white river rafting opportunities. Trishuli river rafting is a popular gateway from the Kathmandu valley as it is close and falls right under just 3-4 hours of driving. At grade 3 difficulty, it cannot be debated that this is the most popular rafting site and attracts many adventurers from all over the world. This rafting journey in the Trishuli River includes small gorges that we will pass, the view of the cable cars going to the Manakamana temple and excellent rapids to cross.

As Trishuli is a fast and fierce river, there are seasons for it to be rafted on. For beginners and starters, the month of October is best as the level of water has relatively gotten down and not much risk is involved. Whereas this river also attracts extreme sporting opportunities during the monsoon, when the river swells to its maximum and is a fierce entity- untamed and wild. The two different timings allow for two drastic set of experiences in the river. All activities come with strict safety code adherence and listening to the raft guide is a must.

With experienced guides and professionals for all types of adventure activities we, Glacier Family Treks and Expedition, are the best in the industry. From the rafts in the rivers of Bhotekoshi to the extremes at the base of the Everest, we will provide you all means to reach the destination of your choice. Day 1
Kathmandu to Charaudi

Today, we will leave Kathmandu early in the morning since the traffic gets heavy as the day progresses. As soon as we exit the valley, we will be able driving on the hills with the occasional view of the snowcapped Himalayas. We will also soon be driving alongside the Trishuli River. This is the same river we will be rafting tomorrow. We will be staying at one of the tent sites by the river today.

Day 2
Rafting and back to Kathmandu

After breakfast, we will prepare for the rafting session. Our raft guide will give us a short demonstration of safety after which we will carry our rafts and hit the water. There are a few rapids that we will be crossing today. The water thrashing against the rocks give it a frothy milky appearance. This will be one of the most thrilling experiences of your life as you raft on the fierce river. After we reach the end point of the rafting session we will drive back to Kathmandu.
