Annapurna Balcony Trek starts in the beautiful city of Pokhara, from where you drive to Nayapul and start walking. Through dense forests of bamboo and rhododendron, you make your way to the vantage point of Poon Hill (3193m) to witness the most stunning view of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri massifs while their white tips are draped with the golden color of the rising sun. The trek then follows the trails through the forest to reach Machhapuchhre Base Camp and Annapurna Base Camp so that you can get majestic views of the giant Annapurna massif along with its surrounding mountains. During the trek, you pass many traditional villages and cross many suspension bridges which are a way of life in Nepal, connecting villages and people. This trek offers fantastic sunsets and sunrises along with fabulous opportunities at stargazing. This is also a great trek for photographers and nature lovers to learn and practice.

To avoid the infamous traffic, we will make a move to Pokhara early in the morning. This ride is a pleasant one with beautiful scenery of green hills, fast flowing rivers, and occasional glimpses of the Himalayas. One of the most beautiful cities in Nepal, Pokhara is famous with tourists and locals alike. Situated right next to the Phewa Lake in the lap of the mountains such as Annapurna (8091m) and Machhapuchhre (6997m), you can see many restaurants, pubs, hotels, and shops, where you can indulge in some good food, music, and bar hopping. Overnight in Pokhara.
After breakfast, we will drive to Nayapul by tax or private car. Then, we will start walking through lush forests of Alnus Nepalensis and rhododendron while enjoying magnificent views of the mountains. We will pass through small villages of Gurung and Magar ethics’- Lamdawali, Sudame, Hile and Tikhedhunga, today’s most excited thing is, crossing a suspension bridge over the cliff nearby Tikhedhunga which makes you keeping one of souvenir of entire trekking. Then, we have to climb 3500 steps upto Ulleri Village for overnight.
We will be making some ascends and descends through the lush rhododendron forests today. We will cross Bhurungdi Khola and make a steep climb on the stone paved trail with the magnificent views of Annapurna South (7219m) and Machhapuchhre (6997m) until reaching the Gurung village of Ghorepani. Overnight in Ghorepani.
Early in the morning, we will hike up to Poon Hill (3193m) to witness a breathtaking sunrise. A famous spot, we will see many other teams making their way up to Poon Hill. As the sun rises over the Himalayas, we will see the color change beautifully of the snowcapped mountains such as Machhapuchhre (6997m), Annapurna I (8091m), Dhaulagiri I (8167m), Annapurna South (7219m), and so on. This is a great place for photography, and one can feel as though the mountains are coming to life. After spending some time here, we will descend to Ghorepani and then continue our downhill trek until reaching Tadapani for the overnight stay.
From Tadapani, we will make our way further down to Chomrong. We will make a gradual descend to Kimrong Khola and cross it on a bridge to continue to make a slow ascend to reach the village of Chomrong, which sits on the foothill of Annapurna South (7219m). The peaks of Hiunchuli (6441m) and Machhapuchhre (6997m) also look amazing from the Gurung village of Chomrong. Overnight in Chomrong.
Following Modi Khola, we will make our way through the dense forests of rhododendron and bamboo as we make our way to Dovan. We will cross suspension bridges and trek up to the village of Sinuwa, from where the trail becomes much flatter and passes through lush forests to finally reach our destination, Dovan. Various peaks of the Annapurna massif along with the gorgeous peak of Machhapuchhre (6997m) start to look even more ravishing as we reach Dovan. Overnight in Dovan.
Climbing a steep trail with the Hinko Cave in view, we will make our way to Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700m). The village of Deurali and its narrow trails are left behind as we make this walk. We will continue trekking to Machhapuchhre Base Camp on grassy moraines. We will climb up to the ridge and get magnificent views of the Annapurna range, the Gangapurna Peak (7454m), and Machhapuchhre (6997m). Overnight in MBC.
It is a short trek from Machhapuchhre Base Camp to the Annapurna Base Camp. We will follow a trail filled with the moraine of South Annapurna Glacier to reach ABC. As we continue on this trail, we will be provided with magnificent views of the Annapurna massif along with the many surrounding mountains. As we reach ABC, we can relax and enjoy the mountain vista. Overnight in ABC.
Today we will make our way back to Dovan retracing the steps via Machhapuchhre Base Camp. We will pass through grassy meadows and moraines and later through dense lush forests as we make this long descent. Keeping the Modi Khola Company, we will reach the small settlement of Dovan. Overnight in Dovan.
Continuing to follow Modi Khola, we descend past small settlements through the lush forest of rhododendron, bamboo, and oak to reach the village of Chomrong. Passing along the trail, we will able to get a glimpse of the wildlife and the culture of the people who live in this region. Overnight in Chomrong.
Trek to Landruk (2100m), while the lunch break at Jhinu Danda- visits Hot spring, 6 hrs.
Our trail today will take us through small villages, rhododendron forests, and terraced farms. This is a great opportunity to witness the culture of the people and the beauty of the nature of this region. While descending, we will reach the hot spring of Jhinu Danda, where we will take a short break. You can even take a dip and heal some of the soreness of muscles. Afterward, we will descend through the forest to reach the Gurung village of Landruk. Overnight in Landruk.
Continuing on the descent, we climb down the flag-stone steps paved amid the lush forest to reach the famed Australian Camp, which is a pretty village on a green hill with cute houses. Australian Base Camp serves some of the most amazing vistas of the Annapurna massif and Machhapuchhre (6997m). Overnight in Australian Camp.
Today is the last day of our trek, and through lush landscapes, we will make our way to Phedi. From Phedi, we will drive to Pokhara witnessing the beautiful hills, mountains, and rivers surrounding the valley. We will check back in at the hotel and give rest to our sore legs. Overnight in Pokhara.
Pokhara is a beautiful city which is famous amongst the locals as well as the tourists. The Phewa is a beautiful lake which, if lucky, will have the reflection of the Machhapuchhre (6997m) and Annapurna (8091m) mountains fall upon it. Surrounded by many restaurants, pubs, and café, which serve many varieties of food, Pokhara is also greatly known for many adventure activities such as paragliding, boating, bungee jumping, and so on. There is also the famous Davis Falls and many caves and temples that we can explore in Pokhara. Overnight in Pokhara.
Again, to avoid traffic, we will start our drive to Kathmandu early in the morning. On the way, we will have beautiful views of the hills, mountains, and the fast-flowing rivers of Nepal. This is a good time to reflect upon all the good times we had during our trek and thinks back on what learning we will take back home. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel for the overnight stay.
Kathmandu is a hotpot of culture and tradition all brought together by yummy food and the cultural tolerance. The two major religions of Nepal, Hinduism, and Buddhism, and their multiple representations can be seen in the valley of Kathmandu. You will be visiting some of the heritage sites today, which include the Boudhanath Stupa (Buddhist Site) and the Pashupatinath Temple (Hindu Site). Kathmandu is also home to fabulous woodwork, the likes of which can be seen in the areas such as the Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur Durbar Squares. After the sightseeing, you will drive back to the hotel for the overnight stay.
As your Himalayan adventure ends, our staff will drop you at the airport for your flight back home.
