Everest- the legend of Nepal, located to the north-east of Nepal which means the upper part of Solukhumbu district. Mt. Everest (8848m), the highest mountain in the world and highest mountain in Nepal among eight highest peaks over than 8000m, is situated in Khumbu. Including it, there are many more trekking peaks and khumbu high Mountains in the Everest region from where travellers can see awesome views of four highest mountains which are more than 8000m of the world which include Mt. Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8516m), Mt. Cho-Oyu (8201m) and Mt. Makalu (8463m). The family Everest trail offers challenging trekking in Nepal. So, routes start from higher elevation and trekkers stay in higher places. We even say that Khumbu Everest region is the homeland of Sherpa ethics. The upper part of region is protected by the Sagarmatha National Park and designated as a World heritage site for the nature and wildlife in 1979. The total area of park is 1,148 sq. km. The vegetation in this Sagarmatha National Park changes from Fir, Juniper, Pine, Rhododendron, Hemlet, Birch, and Shrubs which are in endangered to alpine plant with bare rocks and snows. Khumbu is homeland of wildlife like Musk Deer, Choral, Tahr, Serow, Yello and Red-Billed, verities of Pheasants and flowers like Edelweiss. Everest region- Khumbu region is really graced by Sir Adman Hilary. He has donated for the education and health to the local community. Namche Bazaar, khumjung village, Khunde village, Thame village are major traditional villages sherpas of the region. Mani Rimdu festival, Gyalpo Losar festival and Saga Dawa festival are the major festivals of the local people. For festive trekking in Everest region,Tyangboste Monastery (3870m)- the highest elevated Bouddhist Temple in the world, is the best place ever as well as The Holy mountain- Khumbila.
