Muktinath Pilgrimage Tour

Muktinath is the most sacred Hindu site in Nepal after the temple of Pashupatinath in Kathmandu. Muktinath is one of the sacred places of worship for the Hindus in the Himalayan ranges of Nepal. Known for both Hindus and Bhuddists, this shrine attracts pilgrims during the months of May-November. The famous temple of Lord Muktinath lies in the district of Mustang and is situated about 18 kms northeast of Jomsom at an altitude of about 3800 meter. The main shrine is a pagoda shaped temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This is one of the 106th sacred Muktichhetra (assured of salvation) of 108 sacred places of Vaishnavs, where Lord Vishnu got free from the curse of Sati. This is a famous for shaligrams (fossils) a Jwaladevi, a divine flame is continuously burning since thousands of year.

Hindu pilgrims come here to bathe in the 108 water spouts shaped as cows’ heads and Buddhists come here to pay homage at a shrine enclosing an eternal blue flame. Pilgrims take bath in holy water spouts to purify their bodies before visiting the main Temple for worship.


Day01: Meet in Kathmandu, transfer to hotel

Day02: Fly/Drive to Pokhara, 25mintes/6 hrs approximately, transfer to hotel

Day03: Drive to Beni-Tatopani, 5hrs, Rayal bath at natural hotspring, O/N in lodge

Day04: Continue drive to Jomsom via Ghasa, Lete, Kalapani, Tukche village and Marpha village respectively, O/N in Hotel

Day05: Drive to Muktinath after having breakfast, 2.5 hrs, O/N in hotel

Day6: Early in morning, Darshan to Mutinath Temple, visite Jwala Mukhi Mai, Shiva Temple etc. Back to hotel for breakfast then drive back to Jomsom for Lunch, continue to drive from Jomsom to Ghasa

Day7: Drive from Ghasa to Pokhara via Beni Bazar, transfer to hotel

Day08: Sightseeing in Pokhara: Davidsfall, Gupteswor Gupha, Bindabasimi Temple and Barahi Temple, free time, O/N in hotel

Day09: Free day in Pokhara for shopping etc, O/N in hotel

Day10: Fly/Drive to Kathmandu, transfer to hotel, free day

Day11: Visit to Pashupatinath and Patan Krisha Temple, O/N in hotel

Day12: Visit to Changu Narayan and Bhaktapur Darbar Square, O/N hotel

Day13: Departure for your further destination from Nepal
