Kanchenjunga trekking region covers both of low and high altitude Nepal trekking destinations. Therefore, this trekking suits to all. The physically-challenges or first timers in high altitude can have lower part of trekking and those travelers, who have good physical condition with adventure lovers, can have an expedition or a trek with high passes, an excursion, glaciers, and rocky hills. A part of it, they can explore the inhabitants of various ethnic groups, Monasteries for Buddhists, Chortens, Mani walls, Temples and prayer-walls. Kanchenjunga region is protected by KCAP (Kanchenjunga Conservation Area Project) which is spread in 2035 sq/km. This conservation is a home of different types of wild animals and birds. The trekking in this region begins a short flight Kathmandu to Biratnagar then suketar or drive to Basantpur from Biratnagar. Then, the route takes you up to the high alpine terrain above Ghunsa village: One of the beautiful village from this region, finally, you will head up to Lapsung-La, selele pass, and trek to Yalung glacier and finally, Kanchenjunga Base Camp. Tourists get back from same trail to Suketar or Basantapur then fly or drive back to Kathmandu.
